We are delighted to be appointed as the hiring partner for the LEGO Group (https://www.lego.com), the Danish toymaker for their upcoming factory site in Vietnam. 

The LEGO Group will invest more than US $1 billion in the 44-hectare site in the Binh Duong Province (around 50km from Ho Chi Minh City). This is the sixth LEGO® factory and this will expand the Group’s global manufacturing footprint and support long-term growth in Asia-Pacific region. The facility is planned to be the company’s first carbon neutral factory and will include investments in solar energy generation.

LEGO® is building a brand-new factory in Vietnam. Do you want to be part of this exciting new opportunity? The role is ideal for someone who has strong civil and construction project experience and who wants to be a part of creating this fantastic new factory in an exciting new location for LEGO® 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Head of Global Workplace Projects LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam (GWP LMV) and defacto Program Lead for LMV.

  • Working closely with the Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction and rest of the team to join the management of this new factory in Vietnam.

  • Work closely with the Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Constructions and rest of the team to learn the LEGO® Project Model and Standards. 

  • Project coordination with project stream owners and internal/external stakeholders.

  • Quality checks and follow up (top priorities for this role).

  • Submit input and needed reporting to Head of GWP LMV and Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction.

  • Working closely with PM company, CM&S company and external Design Companies and Consultants to secure approved Program, Quality and Commercials are followed.

  • Will be required on site for majority of time to ensure construction is progressing well, with no EHS issues, quality concerns and progressing on time.

  • Working closely with the General Contractor to ensure the factory is built according to Quality, on Time and on Budget.

  • Manage handover of completed buildings to other Streams such as Molding, Packing, Warehouses, Local Facility Management.

  • Implement change requests including report to Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction.

  • Risk management – constant evaluation of the existing risk and adequate mitigation – report to Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction.


Do you have what it takes? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction 

  • Experience as Project Manager of Civil and Construction projects – especially according to Site Management, Quality Assurance, Following up, Handover and Reporting.

  • Experience from working in international/multinational companies will be preferred.

  • Experience of local construction approvals, regulations, permit processes. 

  • Knowledge in legal and commercial aspects within building industry.

  • Preferably around or +10 years’ experience within same field of practice.

  • Good communication skills and stakeholder management

  • Result oriented and customer focused

  • Strong sense for collaboration

  • Adequate functional expertise 

  • Experience in Sustainable construction practices.
