JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide software delivery services using ODCs, T&M and fixed price
  • Build strong JDC offshore team with effective communication and processes
  • Provide sustainable solutions to meet JDC objectives
  • Optimise productivity and track JDC delivery in respect to time, cost and quality
  • Protect JDC cost and revenue lines
  • Contribute to the success of Nash Tech Software Development
  • Manage all software development projects performed in JDC, being escalation point for all projects performed in JDC
  • Create delivery structures and processes to ensure good practice and governance is applied in JDC
  • Establish JDC offshore roles and implement clear lines of communication using appropriate tools and effective processes
  • Work with RMO/Technical teams and onshore to build resource strategy for JDC
  • Track delivery through the JDC PM in respect to time, cost, quality and overall productivity
  • Regularly monitor JDC delivery issues and risks
  • Work with QA and other stakeholders for continuous improvement of delivery processes
  • Review PM performance, coach and mentor JDC PMs
  • Report the operational delivery status, risks and issues of all projects/accounts to higher management (SD MD) and onshore (weekly, monthly and/or ad-hoc).
  • Work steadily under high pressure environment
  • Support presale when required
  • Self-train on new technologies and features of useful software
  • Propose to the Technical Manager on technical direction/vision for the whole team
  • Propose to the SD MD on non-technical improvements
  • Line manager and approve leave requests for all Project Managers
  • Strictly follow all processes and procedures established by the company in compliance with ISO 27001, CMM standards or any standards that clients and NashTech jointly agreed
  • Perform other tasks requested by Management
  • Manage project/account directly and take the PM roles & responsibilities when needed .
  • Co-ordinate with other project parties such as clients, QA, QC, etc. to make sure that the projects meet clients’ requirements & satisfaction
  • Ensure that NashTech provides a quality service to the client
  • Responsible for progress on all work being undertaken in JDC
  • Adherence to delivery processes
  • Ultimately responsible for deliverables from JDC
  • Proactively report positives and negatives
  • Review / vet team’s reporting
  • Produce weekly / monthly reports as required
  • Employ appropriate and timely escalation
  • Organise and manage checkpoint and review meetings
  • Attend client meetings
  • Attend internal meetings / reviews
  • Excellent formal and informal communication with Clients, JDC staff and NashTech at all levels

 

Job Requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in IT field
  • IT knowledge-base, and current IT technologies
  • Project Management certificates
  • Fluent in English and Japanese capacity is equivalent to N2 or above
  • Experience in living/ working in Japan is a plus
  • Experienced in a management position in international software firms, with at least 8 year experience in Project Manager position and at least 2 year experience in Delivery Manager or equivalent senior manager position.
  • Experience in working with international clients and on/off shore engagement model
  • Experience in managing and coaching project managers
