RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Quality Director and/or QA manager, to establish and manage the designated objectives, goals and KPI's, and report progress periodically to the Quality Director and/or QA manager if required.
Work proactively with performance results to ensure the supplier quality compliance and to drive for continuous quality improvement for Company Markets:
Ensure products and components meets Company Quality Requirements by performing pre-shipment inspection, and/or In-Process Audit/Inspection based upon the designated inspection sampling plan, AQL levels, Process Control Plan, relevant product specification and quality requirements and approval (reference) samples.
Ensure that during product handover from Engineering or Company Division’s that all relevant product specification/documentation, approval (reference) samples, quality control plans etc. are available and fully understood prior to any inspections.
Responsible for carrying out production and quality control process audits at suppliers and/or sub-suppliers and sub-contractors as per the audit plan approved by the QA Supervisor, and to work closely with the suppliers to address deviations and/or non-conformances and to drive for continuous quality improvement.
Ensure all QA Engineer related reports are accurate, distributed on time and records are maintained and up to date within the designated system.
In the event of product and or process non-conformance as from inspection, audit, quality complaints and or division’s incoming inspection (NCR), QA Engineer is responsible for following NCR/CAR procedure to work with vendor and other pillars within Company on root cause identification, Corrective and Preventive actions (CAP) driving, approval and implementation verification.
Evaluate product performance via RGD reports and consumer/customer feedback analysis and liaise with Suppliers and Company pillars to drive and ensure supplier continuous quality improvement through implementation of corrective and preventive
actions.Verify, at time of inspection or audit that any product changes such as ECN are implemented in accordance with the agreed timeframe and confirm back to the relevant ECN issuer.
Assist in the development of, and support suppliers in, the implementation of quality improvement strategies and goals as set by Company or Company Divisions.
Provide support to Company engineering and Suppliers for the development and implementation related improvement of processes, such as process control plans, work station instructions and quality control best practices.
Verify and ensure implementation QMS CAP’s at suppliers
Teaches and drives supplier for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) compliance
Implement essential quality concepts & tools within supply base
Travel (30% - 80% of the time)
Any other tasks related to quality as set by the Quality Director and/or QA Manager
REQUIREMENT
Bachelor degree or College Degree, Technical Degree or above
Experience with Toys, Sewing, or Textile is preferred
Knowledge of fabric, sewing manufacturing, and/or component or assembly manufacturing processes.
Over 2-years working experience in Quality related field is a must.
Good understanding and working experience in Quality assurance and Quality improvement
Knowledge and experience of applying statistical tools and methods to problem solving in a quality or
process improvement areaExperience on Lean Manufacturing is preferred
Knowledge of 6 Sigma is preferred.
Proficient in English reading and writing. Good spoken English desired
Knowledgeable in the use of the Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
