Job Description:
PURPOSE: Assist Underwriting Manager/Deputy Manager in the operation of Underwriting Division to help achieve the planned objectives of the Company.
CONTEXT: All classes of insurance business in Vietnam
DIMENSIONS:
Maintain Underwriting guidelines and Policy wording/ clauses standards.
Handling Underwriting referrals;
Review work procedure with view of control, increased productivity and efficiency.
Facultative reinsurance outward
KEY OUTPUTS:
Work with Marketing Divisions on underwriting new and renewal businesses according to risk assessment, underwriting authority limit and treaty terms and conditions.
Monitor/ control acceptance of risks to ensure that Underwriting guideline and treaties limit continue to be complied;
Provide technical support to Marketing team including monitoring and maintaining policy wordings, underwriting document templates, etc.
Assist senior staff in Underwriting Division in following up reinsurance placement with facultative reinsurers;
Develop, maintain Underwriting statistics and prepare Underwriting reports.
Other underwriting/reinsurance work as assigned by Company
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
State of Underwriting statistics and Underwriting guidelines
Proper risk acceptance within Underwriting Guideline
Standard of response to other related Divisions/ Customers.
Job Requirement:
QUALIFICATIONS:
University Graduation
English fluency.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Sound Underwriting knowledge.
Good communication skills.
In depth knowledge of insurance, products, insurance contracts;
Have knowledge about types and methods of reinsurance.
EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years of progressively more responsible property/casualty underwriting.
