Responsibility:
Fit Review:
- Evaluate sample for fit approval in Vendor’s Sample rooms (construction fit balance workmanship measurements product safety etc.)
- Partner with vendors technicians for corrections and samples improvements
- Escalate construction and grading issues
- Approve all product complexities and provide patter correction if needed works with vendor technicians on pattern alternation suggestions
- Approve artwork placement Fit tracking (all individuals)
- Communicate with Sourcing team for artwork placement comments
- Provide pattern correction to all products allocated with a strong understanding of how to review and correct patterns
- Attend line review meetings with cross functional teams and highlight any potential risk from a fit/construction perspective
- Participate and share topics for Global Technical Design meetings
Vendor Management & Product Development:
- Act as the gatekeeper to apply process and fit standards
- Escalate process non-conformities and repeated performance issues
- Survey Sample making process – detect possible gap in the process and monitor improvement
- Support building training materials participate and facilitate vendors training
- Monitor vendor certified technician performance and meet with vendors when facing any technical problem in development or production
- Participate in PP meeting review TOP samples
- Prepare Minimarkers for consumption issues for cost support and prepare training materials for vendors and internal partners
- Partner with QA team to conduct technical audits for selected stages of production and communicate with Sourcing to resolve issues during development providing technical design clarifications under the guidance of a Senior Technical Designer
- Document findings and review with sample room staff to clarify any product questions
- Seek confirmation from applicable company’s sources for any considerations not able to be clarified in the field
- Train sample room technicians to use Company’s standards (i.e. blocks grading rules PLM artwork placements etc.) and record samples “in” daily
- Maintain library of patters and blocks digitizing where needed and Offer technical solutions when needed
Requirement:
- Bachelor Degree with preference in Textile Fashion Design with a minimum of 4 years in technical experience
- Previous work experience in a sourcing office for Childrenswear products and possess product safety knowledge preferred
- Working knowledge of Gerber PLM and Adobe illustrator
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate with different parties
- Excellent MS Excel Skills (Vlookup Pivot Tables etc.)
- Good command of written and spoken English
