Location: Hanoi
*Overview:
- Responsible for providing legal services (including legal advice and legal documentation) on medium sophisticated matters to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Branches to ensure the Bank can operate in accordance with various legal parameters.
- -Candidate may independently work or co-work with one or more team members to complete the assigned tasks.
*Responsibilities:
- Draft/review legal documentation and prepare legal advice/opinion to support medium sophisticated deals including but not limited to credit, financing, security and collateral, loan agreements, bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, discounting agreements, factoring (account receivable purchase) agreements, trade finance agreements, money market agreements, foreign exchange agreements, letter of indemnity, confidentiality agreements, powers of attorney, outsourcing.
- Draft/review legal documentation and prepare legal advice/opinion to support medium sophisticated deals.
- Provide training on local laws/regulations to Relationship Managers and staffs of other functional departments (by classroom training, legal bulletins, legal topics).
- Provide input into legal dispute and litigation matters involving the Bank as well as provide legal support and advice for the resolution of and settlement of claims against the Bank.
- Support the interpretation and application of changes in law and regulations to ensure legal compliance in the Bank.
- Contribute and support the implementation of regional/ local legal frameworks and templates.
- Support in developing and updating policies to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
- Research and comments on draft laws.
