Manpower to Attract and Recruit Hundreds of Highly Skilled Workers for Vietnam’s Energy Industry

Vietnam, 8 July 2020 – Manpower Vietnam will continue its partnership with NS2PC and LSP into 2022, recruiting a highly skilled workforce for the Operations, Maintenance and Administration divisions as well as Technology, Mechanical & Electrical, Automation, Safety, Environment. Manpower’s proven ability to attract, develop and engage highly skilled talent will enable both organizations to meet the strong demand for a highly skilled workforce to power Vietnam’s growing energy industry.

Manpower has been an exclusive recruitment partner of LSP since 2018, when the project began. LSP is an important milestone the Vietnamese oil and gas industry, the first comprehensive integrated petrochemical complex project in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Since 2018 Manpower Vietnam has attracted and recruited many key positions with in-demand technical and soft skills as well as strong English proficiency. Roles filled include Department Supervisors, Engineers in charge of Technology, Operations, Safety as well as Electrical – Mechanical -Automation Engineers, Social Security Officers, Human Resources Information System Officers, Document Controllers. In the renewed partnership, hundreds more new positions will be recruited from the second half of 2020 till the end of 2022.

In August 2018, Nghi Son 2 Power Limited Liability Company (NS2PC) - a joint venture between Marubeni (Japan) and KEPCO (South Korea) was established to operate Nghi Son 2 thermal power plant project under a build-operate-transfer (BOT) format. As NS2PC's recruitment partner, Manpower will recruit hundreds of positions in the Operations, Maintenance and Administration divisions as well as Technology, Mechanical & Electrical, Automation, Safety, Environment.

The two recruitment projects in the oil and gas industry play important roles in meeting the increasing demand for fuels and energy for Vietnam's economic development. With these projects, Manpower Vietnam will contribute to creating hundreds of job opportunities for the local skilled workforce in the oil and gas industry and support the development of in-demand, flexible skills.
