*Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency to develop, align and execute an procurement strategy to support business growth.
  • Leadership capability to establish shared goals, agree on the plans to execute and help build momentum at an organizational level for procurement initiatives.
  • Influencing skills to identify shared objectives that can help build momentum and drive goals in an agreed direction. Leveraging relationships within the organization to build support for procurement initiatives or address challenging situations.
  • Financial acumen especially in understanding budgets, tracking cost savings, applying cost models to build procurement options
  • Communication skills to communicate with engineers, leaders and other stakeholders (including vendors) at all levels to complete procurement projects.
  • Stakeholder management abilities to ensure expectations align with procurement initiatives, ensure effective reporting and identify new opportunities to contribute.
  • Proficiency in IT procurement governance and project procutement governance including making decisions on policies and processes to enable the implementation and reporting needed to address non-compliance issues.
  • People management experience to coach and guide, and manage the performance of procurement teams.
  • Use of effective analysis to understand drivers and trends of the supply market, behaviors of the suppliers and to solve significant problems in issues management.
  • Vendor management skills to manage the issues relating to contracts, payments and nonperformance that have commercial implications.
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of category management, including the ability to analyze internal demand, perform market analysis and recommend strategies while working closely with other stakeholder especially IT managers.
  • Analytical skills to understand the procurement transactions, trends and supply market conditions. Ability to read beyond what is being presented; to have an understanding of the underlying messages and use those for organizational advantage.
  • Planning skills to identify and prioritize procurement initiatives, allocate appropriate time and resources to work within agreed project timelines, and to close negotiations and contracts by following up with vendors and stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Expertise in IT procurement processes, such as RFI, RFP, request for quotation, needs analysis, purchase requisition, purchase orders and payment processes.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts through an understanding of various obligations including indemnities, warranties and insurances.
  • Proficiency in procurement project management to prioritize and balance time and resource allocations, and to drive project closure from a procurement perspective, escalating a project at an appropriate time to ensure resolution among stakeholders and vendors.
