Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the business strategy by liaising with business leaders to identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
  • Consult with management in the strategic planning process and develop and implement aligned people programs and policies that support business priorities.
  • Drive the deployment of a full range of HR services for internal customer base in most of the following areas: resourcing, compensation & benefits, competency development, performance management, succession planning, talent management, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, providing expertise and guidance in the areas of organizational performance, performance management, culture and change management, coaching, talent assessment and organizational design.
  • Manage the recruitment process both internally and externally. Ensure suitable induction training to all new employees is provided. Actively partner with clients to execute HR and talent management processes to attract, develop and retain high quality talent.
  • Lead the country level core People Review process to analyse local talent, complete succession plans, conduct gap analyses and agree plans with the management team for recruitment and development.
  • Ensure AES people have the right training and development in line with their performance reviews and objectives identified through the People Review Process. Ensure everyone has an up-to-date Individual Development Plan. Manage the training budget to ensure budgets are properly planned and money is spent to maximize the impact of the investment in AES people.
  • Work with line leaders to understand core capabilities needed to drive the business and translate into actionable developmental programs for the functional areas.
  • Manage and promote the completion of periodic core people processes – ensures leaders are using tools and resources to drive improved talent outcomes & a positive culture where people feel valued and respected and have visibility to a career path.
  • Identify key engagement drivers and develop the supporting strategies to align people, processes, and work-related systems to achieve meaningful levels of job satisfaction and retention for employee base.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies, processes, and procedures considering both AES global policies and reflecting needs of the business, marketplace, and local legal requirements.
  • Drive consistency in administering human resources policies and procedures to ensure that employees receive appropriate and reasonable treatment.
  • Serves as escalation point and subject matter expert for employee relations issues.
  • Provide ongoing support to business leaders by serving as an advisor in both a business and people related capacity. Utilize high level consulting skills to coach and provide feedback on leadership direction and style.
  • Coach business leaders on leadership behaviors and practices, employee communication, development and performance management strategies and tactics to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Identify key organizational issues, change management needs and the appropriate HR levers to maximize current and future organization performance.
  • Promotes diversity and inclusion; executes DE&I strategy.
  • Proactively engage with clients in forward thinking and innovative projects to support their business goals.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the HR budget. Prepare various management and other ad-hoc reports related to HR area.
  • Build strong partnerships with AES HR network to roll out corporate wide programs and ensure client’s needs are understood and met.
  • Drive engagement focus with managers for positive business performance and achievement of Great Place to Work standards.
  • Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve the HR programs and initiatives. Identify new opportunities where HR can add value to the business.
  • Ambassador of the AES employer brand.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources related roles with a proven track record as a HR
  • Generalist or Business Partner including demonstrated ability to partner with the business leaders to develop solutions and drive positive outcomes.
  • Experience within the energy industry preferred; or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Human resources management, business administration, or a related field. Master’s or MBA degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to address strategic HR issues as well as operational proficiency in the HR.
  • Proven customer centric focus: ability to influence culture, challenge and influence senior leaders and create alignment between business goals, behaviors, and compensation systems that drive performance.
  • Strong communication skills - written, oral, interpersonal.
  • Strong ownership and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter who deals well with ambiguity. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities to closure with positive results. Possess “can-do” attitude, and “get things done” mentality
  • Must be detail oriented, can gather and analyze information and provide suggestions and solutions. Demonstrate critical thinking.
  • Strong presence and confidence to engage directly, constructively, and with credibility with leaders at all levels. Ability to effectively engage with others remotely; will partner with other HR people to design and deliver solutions and programs.

  • Experience in developing and delivering HR programs.
  • Strong understanding of the value each HR discipline brings.
