Successful candidate will support deal teams on a wide variety of tasks around our M&A advisory mandates. In particular, a VP’s work will typically cover the following:
- Leading deal execution teams on a day-to-day basis
- Client, target, and counterparty management
- Transaction process design and implementation
- Preparation of marketing materials
- Structuring and valuation
- Management of due diligence and the negotiation process
- Marshalling junior bankers to produce high quality work, often under time pressure
- Supporting origination efforts of BDA’s senior bankers
- Coordinating and driving pitch preparations
- Networking with industry contacts, lawyers, and advisors to demonstrate aptitude for sourcing new business
Requirements:
- 5-8 years’ full time M&A advisory experience in an investment bank
- Track record of executing and closing M&A transactions in an advisory capacity – evidenced by a deal sheet along with resume
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Strong quantitative and accounting skills; demonstrated superior analytical ability, providing proven frameworks for junior bankers to follow and progress
- Confident and effective in managing relationships with clients; assumes role of day-to-day contact for Q&A and other deal-related matters
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a committed team player, highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Able to gain and maintain trust of both clients and colleagues
- Innovative – offering creative, insightful resolution to issues arising in execution and origination problems
- Asian experience and knowledge
- Willingness to travel
