ManpowerGroup Vietnam Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs

Hanoi, 20th June 2018: ManpowerGroup (NYSE:MAN) and the Vietnam Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for ManpowerGroup to provide strategic expertise to support Vietnam in developing a skilled workforce and effective regulatory frameworks for the digital age. The MoU was signed by Simon Matthews, Country Manager of ManpowerGroup Vietnam, Thailand and the Middle East and the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

“In a rapidly changing world of work upskilling people for the jobs of the future and developing effective legal frameworks is critical to success for people, companies and governments alike.” Said Simon Matthews, Country Manager for ManpowerGroup Vietnam. “We are delighted to partner with the MOLISA to develop and execute a strategic plan to create Vietnam’s workforce of tomorrow and help people continue to access meaningful employment and companies find the talent they need to succeed in the digital age.”

This is the fourth MoU between ManpowerGroup and MOLISA. ManpowerGroup will provide the following expertise for a period of three years:

(i)            Develop skilled talent through improving the knowledge and professional experience of the local workforce to adapt to the requirements of automation and digitization; Promoting the development of women's roles and enhancing their leadership skills in Industry 4.0;

(ii)          Raise awareness about labor trends, employment and human resource development; International labor commitments in the context of international integration and industrial revolution 4.0;

(iii)         Provide information, analyzing and orientation on the labor market;

(iv)         Support to improve the labor market infrastructure;

(v)          Share experiences of international labor markets, connecting and enhancing Vietnam's cooperation with other countries on labor, employment and human resource development.
