Job Purpose:
  • The Business Development Manager, Corporate is responsible for the development and execution of Employer Strategy to achieve market plans and targets for ACCA.
  • The key objectives of the position is to plan and carry out a comprehensive Employer Strategy to ensure ACCA as an important strategic partner in their talent solutions and other relevant business solutions which leads to higher engagement, growth and loyalty enhancement of ACCA members.

Key responsibilities:
  • Working with the Head of Vietnam to formulate the Employer strategy and plan covering both existing approved employers and targeted new coming approved employers for Vietnam
  • To deliver the ACCA business relationship management approaches for each of portfolio of employers
  • To target employers in corporate, practice and public sectors to ensure we grow the number of ACCA members, that relevant opportunities for existing members and students are continuously developed and that ACCA achieves enhanced reputation and influence
  • To develop strategic partnerships with key employers through their participation, sponsorship or endorsement of ACCA’s Research & Insights programmes & activities
  • To develop enhanced business to business capability to provide tailored customer service support and effective key account management, which clearly differentiates ACCA from its competitors
  • To develop effective knowledge of employers and identify key employer trends and respond to those needs appropriately
  • To work with employer-facing staff within ACCA and from ALPs to ensure appropriate promotion of products and services to employers
  • To develop and deliver agreed employer related targets and report regularly on progress through the appropriate reporting mechanisms
  • To develop the sales strategies for the growth of ACCA’s market share in terms of number of new ACCA and FIA students from employers channel

Key Relationships:

Internal:
  • Head of Vietnam (line manager) – accountable to for the achievement of objectives and targets – regular contact as and when required.
  • Peer level – 2 senior manager and 1 manager in team.
  • Local teams – as and when required to support delivery of planned activities.

External:
  • HR, L&D: Monthly contact – To ensure that services and ongoing activities are well coordinated
  • Students – Quarterly to half-yearly - To ensure that all information in relation to the ACCA/FiA Qualifications and recognition etc. are clearly communicated and that their questions are handled satisfactorily.
  • HRD, People partners – Annual meetings with Head of Vietnam. To maintain the visibility of ACCA and to show strong support from ACCA.
  • ACCA Marketing, Employers and Memberships teams as well as ACCA offices in ASEAN ANZ – Regular interaction to ensure that there is proper support for student recruitment; for new student flow projects to be launched successfully and for student/affiliate events (e.g., regional internships and career fairs) to be run smoothly.

Key Metrics (financial and/or non-financial):

Key metrics include, but are not limited to:
  • Reports to Head of Vietnam
  • Responsible for successful deliver of ACCA’s Vietnam Employer Strategy
  • Responsible for the successful achievements of the following key metrics: Critical Success Factors relating to employers (Attract, Develop, Sustain, Lead, and employer satisfaction)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills to strive continuous improvement of the team. At least Bachelor degree holder, with at least 3 years of sales/marketing/business development/communications experience
  • Have a proven track record of successfully delivering business development and marketing strategies in a B2B professional environment
  • With business acumen, strategic, professional, analytical, self-motivated and creative
  • Able to deliver agreed KPI’s in a results driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to develop strategic relationship with a range of key influencers .
  • Fluency spoken English and Vietnamese. Proficient in business writing, Vietnamese & English
  • Strong people management skill
  • Able to work both on their own initiative and drive the team to achieve business objectives
  • Attentive to details, able to organise and prioritise within a demanding environment and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical and budgeting skills for result measurement and planning
