Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes for the production of Handbags & Small Leather Goods (HB&SLG) in Cambodia and Vietnam, ensuring adherence to client's quality standards. Take charge of the HB&SLG QA team in both countries, overseeing their performance, providing coaching, and aligning team objectives with company goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality performance and attain regional best-in-class standards.
Responsibilities:
I. Quality Assurance:
- Lead the QA teams in Vietnam and Cambodia to conduct QA/QC activities pre-shipment.
- Address all quality issues from handover to shipment, providing technical advice and solutions.
- Ensure shipped products meet company requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, establish regular communication channels, and monitor on-site QA performance.
- Share monthly KPIs with the factory and collaborate on improvement plans.
- Manage vendor quality, lead quality review meetings with factories for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures.
II. Product Integrity & On-site Quality Audit:
- Review new SMS developments, giving feedback on potential production or construction risks.
- Participate in line review meetings, closely working with Product Development/Technical teams for bulk production feasibility.
- Check raw materials, collaborate with Raw Material and Production Management teams for bulk standard setting.
- Provide training for new vendors and staff.
- Lead on-site Pre-Production meetings, follow up on PPS, and establish detailed quality standards.
- Review Pilot runs for new styles and fine-tune processes to enhance offshore vendors' bulk quality.
III. Customer Complaints:
- Follow up on customer complaints, working with factories on corrective action plans (CAP).
- Draft SOPs for key processes.
- Prepare quarterly and yearly quality analysis reports, sharing them with cross-functional teams.
IV. Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide constructive feedback and motivation to QA teams.
- Conduct QA training and calibration to meet company requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for problem prevention and resolution.
- Support Production Management Team in evaluating new vendors/factories.
- Support sustainability initiatives.
V. Education & Prior Experience:
- Over 10 years of proven experience in Quality Management of HB&SLG.
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong familiarity with global standards for luxury goods.
- Knowledge of global quality and production standards.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic, and energetic.
- Commitment to continuous learning and team training.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English; Cantonese is a plus.
- Frequent travel required, especially between Cambodia and Vietnam.
