- Manage automation engineers through the preparation of detailed project process plans with estimated project task hours, costs, and timelines for development and production launch. Direct and coordinate engineering resources to complete tasks and projects on time, and on budget.
- Manage Automation engineers to assess automation opportunities, create innovative equipment designs to streamline manufacturing processes and solve complex problems.
- Oversee the research and development of new manufacturing equipment / software, processes, policies.
- Improve manufacturing processes through review of all engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and adherence to engineering standards and project schedules. Review new product design and work with design engineering to identify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced manufacturing cost, and improved process reliability.
- Oversees the development of manufacturing processes and equipment concurrent with new product development insuring product performance specifications, cost targets and timing are achieved.
- Strategically plan the automation roadmap for operations transformation from manual process to automation.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
- Experience: 10+ years total experience, 5+ years management experience
- Functional Skills:
- Experience implementing manufacturing automation systems
- Computer proficient; confident with data analysis programs
- Problem solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques
- Examples of new product production integration or significant operational improvement projects
- Experience with project management, including budgeting
