Long Son Petrochemicals Complex is a national key project, licensed in July 2008, 100% invested by the leading industrial group in Southeast Asia SCG - Thailand with a total investment of up to USD 5.4 billion. Located in Long Son Petroleum Industrial Park, Vung Tau city, the project covers a total area of 464ha, including 10 factories and other ancillary works such as ports, piers, power plants...
During construction phase, about 20,000 jobs is estimated to be created thanks to the project. Once the complex comes into operation, it will create a great spillover for the development of the petrochemicals industry, and other service industries of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and the southern key economic regions; at the same time, contribute to the annual budget about USD 60 million and attract, train and employ more than 1,000 skilled labours.
