Head of Legal
We are looking for a Head of Legal to join our team and lead our legal department. You will be responsible for providing strategic legal guidance to the executive leadership team, overseeing all legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate legal affairs, and real estate transactions, and managing a team of legal professionals.

Responsibilities
•  Provide strategic legal guidance to the executive leadership team on various business matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

•  Oversee and manage the legal department, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with organizational goals

•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives while mitigating legal risks

•  Lead and oversee all legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, including conducting due diligence, assessing legal implications, negotiating and drafting agreements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

•  Advise on corporate governance matters, such as drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to real estate transactions, financing activities, securities compliance, and corporate restructuring

•  Provide legal support for the development of some of Vietnam’s largest real estate and infrastructure projects, such as advising on land acquisition, development agreements, zoning, and other real estate-related matters

•  Build and lead a high-performing legal team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, and providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members

•  Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments impacting the real estate sector and the company's operations, and advise the executive leadership team accordingly

•  Manage external legal counsel and liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders as needed

Requirements
•  Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

•  Admission to the Bar in Vietnam or a relevant jurisdiction

•  Minimum of 10 years of experience in a legal leadership role, preferably in the real estate industry or a related field

•  Proven track record in handling M&A transactions and corporate legal matters

•  In-depth knowledge of real estate laws and regulations in Vietnam and internationally

•  Strong command of English and Vietnamese, both written and verbal

•  Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills

•  Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a legal team

•  Ability to make sound legal judgments and provide strategic counsel to senior management

•  Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and willingness to take on new challenges and contribute to the growth of the organization
