*Responsibilities:
- Define, plan and manage the data governance operating model
- Design and recruit proper data governance organization
- Develop data governance body ("Data Council") recommendation
- Define roles and responsibilities of data owner, custodian and stewards and make the working
- relationship into reality through required cadences
- Consolidate all data governance related initiatives and make proper transition done
- Participate in Data Council to provide guidelines/recommendations on business requirements, practice and compliance
- Tech platform: Select, onboard and implement a Data Governance platform that will be used by the enterprise as a repository of definitions, catalog’s, terms, lineage, ownership, metadata etc.; this includes architecture and tools
- Business data requirements and use cases
- Define data structures and domains including data dictionary and glossary (taxonomy)
- Identify the key data required to run the business and identify the key issues
- Establish requirements for the collection, delivery and use of data and associated systems
- Communicates importance of data management and understanding of data information needs,
- objectives, and direction to appropriate stakeholders
- Standard and policy
- Develops Standards, Policy drafts, and Practices to guide data information collection and
- management including data quality and accessibility; develop KQIs and monitor them
- Ensure consistent compliance with standards and tools
- Measures and manages data risk, establishing data archiving strategies
- Responsible for strategic and tactical planning, focusing on solutions for current and future business
- data practice problems
- Data security: work closely with CIO/IT to ensure institutional level of security is in place
- Expertise in data management, data quality, data security and data stewardship
- Proficiency in data governance solutions (cataloging, lineage, MDM)
- and Data Integration (e.g., Data Factory, Talend, Informatica)
- Extensive background of project and program delivery in data related environments
- Experience and desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily standups, etc.)
- Seniority: Mid-Senior level
- Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience in data management preferably in banking and/or financial institutions, of
- which a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Executive-level experience at driving business and technology change in a data
- management role
- Excellent relationship management skills at multiple levels of the organization
