Responsible for managing and overseeing the Design Management Department to ensure that design work is carried out consistently, design conflicts are controlled, and project timelines are met.
Design Management and Execution
- Develop organizational structure and allocate human resources based on workload and project scale.
- Establish, implement, and monitor quality management systems and design processes.
Planning and Design Process Control
- Organize bidding and selection of consulting firms for planning, architectural, and landscape design.
- Communicate design concepts to consultants, develop design briefs, and set acceptance standards.
- Manage planning, monitor progress, and assess the quality of consulting firms.
- Lead the development of design requirements and document handover lists for each project phase.
- Review and sign contracts with design partners, oversee documentation, and issue approvals.
Coordination and Quality Supervision
- Organize on-site author supervision to ensure design documents are accurately applied during construction.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to prepare and adjust construction permits and fire safety documentation.
- Evaluate and report on design management activities.
- Provide regular reports and assessments on design management, offering recommendations for process improvements and optimizations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Management Director and the Executive Board.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Design, Architecture, or related fields.
Experience
- At least 10 years of experience, including 3 years in a similar position.
- Preference for candidates with experience working in large-scale corporations or companies specializing in high-rise and low-rise developments.
Expertise
- Knowledge of managing design documents across all project phases (Architecture, Structure, Planning, MEP).
- Strong understanding of construction laws, regulations, standards, and procedures related to design.
- Proficiency in design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, MS Project, etc.
- Fluent in English.
