POSITION TITLE: I&C Leader
REPORTS TO: I&C Manager
DURATION: During O&M Period
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the maintenance of all I&C systems and devices, promoting safe, environmentally friendly and effective maintenance practices within the electrical and I&C section. Assist in other areas of the plant as assigned. Oversees budgeting and spending for new capital I&C projects as well as routine operating and maintenance expenses assigned to the I&C team. Oversee contractors employed to work on I&C systems. Ensure that relevant information is kept updated to support the effective implementation of the defined maintenance strategy.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Promote and enforce safe, environmentally friendly and workmanlike maintenance practices within the section and supervised contractors.
Ensure consistent improvement of I&C maintenance across the plant systems, guaranteeing continuous improvement of plant reliability and availability.
Promote team development and training. Develop required procedures to ensure the established maintenance strategy is known and implemented. Provide leadership and job coordination on critical projects.
Assist in high level maintenance planning and budgeting, assuming co-responsibility for approved plan and budget.
Perform other comparable and related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Electrical, electronic, information, mechanical, chemical or similar Engineering Bachelor Degree is required.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in I&C (turbine) and/or I&C (boiler) maintenance supervision and management or equivalent industrial environment role, 3 years of which must be on a management role.
Available to work overtime and/or weekends if required.
Ability to conduct planning and problem analysis regarding I&C Part of the supercritical coal power plant.
Interpret DCS logic drawing, PLC ladder drawing and Electrical drawing.
Familiar with P&ID drawing, Calibration and periodic maintenance for local instrument and commonly used monitoring system such as Furnace monitoring system, Vibration analysis system (like system1), transmitters, etc.
Familiar with the basic principle of high voltage electrical motor, auxiliary turbine, and hydraulic control system (solenoid valve, servo valve, etc.)
Prefer a certificate of completion on DCS (Emerson, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.), TCS, PLC systems, Computer application system, and Thermal dynamic theory.
Prefer a certificate of completion on the Environmental facilities (CEMS), the Furnace monitoring system (Tube leak, Combustion status).
Prefer a certificate of completion for training courses on Super critical Coal power plant such as Turbine, Boiler, Generator or Efficiency of power plant.
Prefer a certificate of completion for training courses on Process Control such as PID tuning, the basic principle of instrument sensors (pH, DO and O2 meter) and the basic measuring theory of local instruments.
Possess business level communications skills in English (written and verbal) and be computer literate. Able to communicate/discuss any topic in the business environment.
