- Our Client, a European player in the energy transition with the strength of a diversified and combinable range of solutions, is looking for a Structural Engineer for their business in Vietnam.
Objective:
- As Structural Steelwork Engineer to drive engineering initiatives within the energy sector. This role demands a seasoned professional with expertise in specifying, designing, and coordinating structural equipment, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specify structural equipment, including casings, ducting, chimneys, and handling accessories, based on customer requirements.
- Conduct structural design calculations and generate precise execution drawings.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, managing external design offices effectively.
- Prepare technical specifications and diligently monitor relevant documentation.
- Engage in order negotiations, overseeing the drawing process for accuracy.
- Monitor and analyze item lists, addressing any issues during manufacturing and assembly.
- Ensure strict compliance with client constraints, specifications, costs, margins, and industry procedures (ISO 9000, ISO 14000, CE certification, VCA, etc.).
What distinguishes you:
- Technical university-level training or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla, and other structural design software.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy sector.
- Strong analytical skills to decipher technical data and proactively devise solutions.
- Team player with the ability to manage responsibilities across multiple projects in a matrix organization.
- Fluent in English, additional proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office, project management tools (CAPM, Primavera, etc.), and SCIA Engineering structural calculation software.
- Availability for varying durations of temporary missions.
