On November 16, 2024, ManpowerGroup Vietnam, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights (VAPCR), hosted a community event in Trung My Commune, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province. The initiative, which included a library donation and career orientation activities, aimed to raise awareness about children's rights and foster creative thinking among local children.

Raising Awareness about Children's Rights

Through engaging educational activities led by the VAPCR, the program sought to promote awareness of children’s fundamental rights as defined by Vietnamese law and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. These activities not only helped the children understand their rights but also encouraged them to build confidence and develop self-protection skills. The children actively participated in discussions, asked many questions, and shared their thoughts openly.

Library Donation

As part of the event, ManpowerGroup Vietnam donated the library to Trung My Primary School. The library, stocked with hundreds of books, including encyclopedias, skill-building materials, and both Vietnamese and international literature, aims to expand the children’s knowledge and spark their passion for reading.

"ManpowerGroup Vietnam believes these books will help them build lasting reading habits, and encourage continuous learning, which is crucial for developing their critical thinking and life skills," shared Mr. Bui Trung Ket, Senior Operations Manager, Staffing & Outsourcing, ManpowerGroup Vietnam.

Inspiring Dreams and Creative Thinking

One of the highlights was the game "Building Dream House”. Using everyday school supplies and modeling clay, the children worked together to create lively and sturdy high houses, fostering teamwork and creative thinking.

Additionally, the children expressed their dreams and aspirations – small or big, simple or complex - through rock paintings. These dreams were brought to life through transforming ordinary gray stones into vibrant pieces of art and design, reflecting their hopes in every aspect of life.

ManpowerGroup also provided practical gifts such as notebooks, school supplies, and life jackets to support the children in their studies and daily activities. These gifts brought joy and encouragement, offering meaningful support for their everyday lives.

Career Development Opportunities

This initiative addressed their questions about employment and provided children, families, and the local community with more opportunities to grow and improve their quality of life.
