I. JOB SUMMARY

This position is within the Advance Manufacturing Engineering Department and reports to the Engineering Manager.

A Must:

+ Process Management, Risk Management: The ability to identify the potential risk, the ability to make the process more productivity through changing the flow of workstation

II. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the AME team and actively participate in process evaluations during new project kickoffs. Identify potential risk points related to the product structure to prevent process modifications later due to fixture changes.
  • Manage non-standard equipment projects, including structure design and supplier design audits.
  • Take charge of line balance and layout for new models.
  • Collaborate with related departments to troubleshoot issues.
  • Drive the Kaizen program to achieve continuous improvement, optimize production, maintain consistent quality, and enhance efficiency.
  • Summarize design experiences and assist the department manager in standardization efforts, designing universal and standardized fixtures and processes for various products. Develop fixture design standards and manage related documentation.
  • Analyze and summarize weekly abnormal clamping fixture issues, share improvement plans, and monthly lessons learned regarding problem points and successful improvement strategies within the department.
  • Research new fixture structures, materials, and technologies.
  • Monitor and track departmental goals on a monthly and yearly basis.
  • Fulfill other tasks as assigned by superiors.

III. JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in production engineering or 2 to 3 years of fixture design experience. Capable of independently completing fixture designs, with a preference for experience in power tool fixture design, punching cutting fixture, and mechanical hand fixture design.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Background in management, production management, and engineering management. Familiarity with AutoCAD, PFMEA, DFA, DFM, Solidworks, UG is preferred. Proficiency in using MS Office and AutoCAD (3D) software.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, along with solid analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Effective collaboration and management skills, with a strong team-oriented and proactive attitude, capable of working independently under high-pressure conditions.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
