Overview: 
  • Our client is a global leader in the international transport & logistics field.
  • The role is responsible for managing leads, developing databases, providing technical support, helping KAM/AM.
Key Responsibilities: 
1.    SALES
  • Identifying market and customers’ needs and opportunities (for example: development of partnerships, attending professional exhibitions and events, managing incoming enquiries, through the existing network, customer appointments/meetings etc.)
  • Managing and qualifying leads/ opportunities. Visit potential customers, steer to close a deal. Attend to local business events to extend network and promote the company.
  • Providing accurate input for sales forecasts and plans
  • Defining services margins using net quotes provided by Operations and in accordance with the mark-up policy, business case calculation    
  • Building and offering solutions locally in Vietnam (Pre-carriage/on-carriage, port-handling, contact with supplier/receiver) 
  • Contacting existing leads (suppliers of our clients/receivers of cargo/production facilities in Vietnam)
  • Initiating the customer integration process

2.    TECHNICAL SALES SUPPORT
  • Analyzing customer request (technical requirements)
  • Developing technical part of the proposal and preparing tender documentation
  • Processing requests for information (% of documents prepared correctly and on-time), communicating with other departments to receive required information
  • Monitoring compliance of the service requested by clients with basic contract terms
  • Inserting tender data in customer formats / systems
  • Developing and updating database that includes previous tenders analytics & dashboards
  • Providing technical support with maintaining Salesforce pipeline

Key requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: minimum of 2-4 years of experience in customer-facing role in freight forwarding or a related industry.
  • Expertise in working for an international company whereby there are regular communications with the headquarters
  • Understanding and defining the pains of that industry and translating these into logistics solutions
  • Sufficient knowledge of logistics (transportation standards, multimodal transport regulations, knowledge of the basics of local customs and logistics legislation, incoterms, understanding of rates- and service levels of local logistics markets)
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English, any other language is a plus.
