Job Purpose: Responsible to the Board of Directors and CEO for all activities of the Division to ensure compliance with the overall development strategy of the Bank:

  • Manage the Division's functions, including business intelligence, data analytics, and AI applications, to support decision-making. Coordinate with IT to manage data infrastructure, data management, data warehouse, and data governance to provide accurate and updated data for business purposes.
  • Ensure quality resources and staff development to provide excellent customer service. Build and manage the Division's structure and job positions to meet growth objectives.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Strategy & Planning

    • Lead and implement the strategic direction of the Data and Analytics Division.
    • Develop the annual business plan, objectives, and budget to ensure competitiveness and meet business targets.
    • Implement organizational models to enhance market competitiveness and achieve growth objectives.
    • Approve and manage business allocation plans, supporting managers in setting KPIs.
    • Monitor and adjust the annual strategy based on market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
    • Develop and enforce data management and governance standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Standardize and automate business analysis tools and reports.
    • Develop policies to protect information assets, especially regarding data security laws in Vietnam.
    • Attend relevant executive and leadership meetings.
  2. Business Management

    • Lead and manage the Division's activities.
    • Implement strategic initiatives to enhance market competitiveness and achieve growth and profit objectives.
    • Design and manage the overall data architecture and ensure its consistency. Identify new data types and sources to support business innovation.
    • Manage end-to-end data flow for integration, storage, and processing. Develop controls for data quality and interaction ability.
    • Ensure the readiness and distribution of system-wide data. Manage data for in-depth research and analysis to maximize profitability.
    • Promote AI/ML technology in the banking industry. Design and implement predictive and optimization analytics. Develop intuitive tools for advanced analysis.
    • Support the development of AI strategies to achieve business objectives.
    • Ensure consistency and suitability of analysis results in business decisions.
    • Promote a data-driven decision-making culture.
    • Manage and adjust data management policies to meet legal and security requirements.
    • Coordinate IT and Infrastructure Management reporting.
    • Provide regular/ad-hoc BI reports and analytics to support decision-making.
    • Monitor compliance with internal and external policies. Supervise risk management procedures.
  3. Resources Management (People Management & Corporate Culture)

    • Lead and manage staff to achieve the Division's and Bank's goals.
    • Develop staff and resource plans.
    • Collaborate with HR on recruitment, training, succession planning, career development, employee recognition, and performance management.
    • Attract, develop, and retain key performers. Improve employee satisfaction.
    • Act as a role model in building corporate culture. Ensure employees understand and apply corporate cultural values and standards.
  4. Other Responsibilities

    • Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Data/MIS management in the Banking/Financial Services industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior management position with leadership expertise.
  • Expertise in business analysis, data analysis, AI applications, data warehouse, and data management.
  • Skills in problem-solving, efficient operations, project management, and stakeholder management.
  • Integrity, self-control, and professionalism.
  • Openness to new methods, innovative thinking, and adaptability.
  • Strong risk management orientation.
