About the Role 

Job Title: Mechanical Process Engineer (CNC Steel Fabrication Focused) 
Reports to: Technology Manager (Technology Products Production) 
Subordinates: Individual Contributor 
Work Location: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Vietnam 
(Shuttle bus available from Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City) 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Review and interpret product specifications, from raw materials to finished goods, with input from the product design team. 

  • Work closely with engineers to refine specifications, providing feedback and improvements. 

  • Design and draft customized components as needed. 

  • Develop process documentation, including product drawings, workflow charts, and operational procedures. 

  • Manage product master data in the ERP system, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routings. 

  • Plan production capacity, process cycle time, and standard work for operational efficiency. 

  • Provide technical guidance to the production team, troubleshooting daily engineering issues. 

  • Analyze quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Collaborate with QA/QC and suppliers on machining, fabrication, welding, and casting processes. 

  • Participate in the Manufacturing Deviation Request (MDR) review as a process expert. 

  • Support supply chain optimization through technical evaluations and alternative solutions. 

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and maintain updated product specifications. 

  • Assist with new product introductions and process implementations. 

  • Train and supervise personnel when necessary. 

  • Maintain technical communication between manufacturing teams. 

  • Oversee calibration and record-keeping for testing equipment. 

  • Perform other tasks assigned by the manager. 

Requirement 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 

  • At least 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering for product/process development. 

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Excellence/Lean practices is a plus. 

  • Strong expertise in mechanical processes such as casting, machining, welding, stamping, and painting. 

  • Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ProE, etc.). 

  • Ability to collect and analyze data to optimize process performance. 

  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities. 

  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
