THE SITUATION AND DEMAND OF WORKING SKILLS AT FDI MANUFACTURING AND PROCESSING BUSINESSES IN VIETNAM IN 2021-2023 PERIOD

In order to evaluate the working skills at FDI businesses in the manufacturing and processing industry and forecast the skilled workforce demand in the coming three years (2021-2023), ManpowerGroup Vietnam has cooperated with the Institute of Labor and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, to conduct the survey on 200 FDI businesses. The surveyed businesses are from 6 industries, namely motorbike/automobile assembling; electronics; textile; leather and footwear; food and beverage; chemicals/interior decoration. These companies are located in 6 provinces and cities with high foreign investment attraction: Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Hai Duong, Danang, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh city.

The survey results are aimed at improving the skills gap in the manufacturing and processing industry to contribute to the economic growth demands and attract foreign investments into Vietnam.
