On November 10, 2024, Principal La Van Liem of A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Semi-boarding School in Lao Cai province sent a heartfelt letter of appreciation to the Trade Union and the Convenience team of ManpowerGroup Vietnam. The letter acknowledged our support in aiding students’ recovery from Typhoon Yagi. Principal La Van Liem highlighted how the company and generous donors have motivated the residents of A Mu Sung’s mountainous villages and the school to overcome these challenging times.
Supporting the Community
In October 2024, representatives of ManpowerGroup Vietnam, in collaboration with BIDV Insurance Corporation Lao Cai, donated 210 health insurance packages to students of A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Semi-boarding School. Additionally, ManpowerGroup Vietnam awarded 20 scholarships totaling 40 million VND to 20 children who are disadvantaged, orphaned and homeless due to Typhoon Yagi.
Fundraising efforts
As part of the CSR initiative, ManpowerGroup Vietnam organized an internal fundraising activity at our Ho Chi Minh City office. We sold snacks such as sponge cakes, cheese sticks, and milk tea, either selected from trusted suppliers or homemade by the Convenience team’s amateur chefs. The sales raised over 50 million VND, which was donated to the school's scholarship fund and directly given to children in need.
A Culture of CARE
ManpowerGroup Vietnam's fundraising activity, though modest in scale, is profoundly meaningful. It not only reflects our corporate culture but also underscores our commitment to “creating global impact, one job at a time". This program is a part of ManpowerGroup Vietnam's Working to Change the World initiative, aiming to create a happier, more prosperous, and sustainable life for all.
The program’s planning and execution, aimed at supporting Northern communities, were led by our Southern team at ManpowerGroup Vietnam. This effort reflects not only the spirit of unity and sharing across regions but also our commitment to social responsibility.
The timely support from ManpowerGroup Vietnam conveyed a message of love and compassion to the students and residents in mountainous areas. It inspired them with hope and motivation for the future, while also nurturing the nation’s future talent and fostering sustainable development.
