The Child-Friendly Library in Ca Mau

As part of The Child-Friendly Library project, ManpowerGroup Vietnam has coordinated with Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) to build a diverse and convenient reading space for children at Ca Mau Social Protection Center.

The inauguration ceremony of the new library took place on November 16, 2020 at the Ca Mau Social Center where 56 children suffering physical or mental difficulties, orphans and over 50 lonely elders are protected.

Ms Nguyen Thanh Huong, Country Human Resources Manager, ManpowerGroup Vietnam shared: “We believe that every child has the right to access the world’s precious knowledge to reach new horizons, opening up a bright career future, no matter what backgrounds they are from.”

This is the result of the fundraising programby ManpowerGroup Vietnam’s employees’s effort in designing, printing, selling lucky packages as well as selling home-made food and drinks before Tet 2020. With 80 million VND raised by the staff of Ho Chi Minh City office, the new library was equipped with 748 different kind of book including literary, scientific, social, English, entertaining ones, a system of bookshelves, furniture, and friendly and quality reading space for children.

ManpowerGroup Vietnam representatives held a career orientation session for secondary and high school students, taught them howto sing in English,organized reading and interactive activities to build their reading habits.
