From 24th to 25th July 2018, the International Workshop “The most common occupations in the labour market and their changing under the impacts of the digital age - The role of PES” was held by Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs in Hue. Delegations from 20 countries have discussed how to share and develop information on the most common occupations, provide employment forecasts, and provide information on employment trend in the digital age.
Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep presided over the meeting. Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huong, Country Human Resources Manager of ManpowerGroup Vietnam, speaker of the workshop, shared her views on employment trends in the digital age. Based on 2018 Talent Shortage Survey by ManpowerGroup with the participation of more than 39,000 organizations in 43 countries and territories, Ms. Huong shared the practical solutions of the global businesses to address the talent shortage in the 4.0 era. She also emphasized the strategic role of Public Employment Services in connecting companies with training institutions and labors.
