ManpowerGroup VN joined VNU’s Career Orientation Workshop:
The ultimate guide to impress your future employers
ManpowerGroup Vietnam, as the workshops’ expert advisor, participated in the VNU online career orientation series “Building CV and Job Interview Skills for Law Students” by the Students’ Union, School of Law, Vietnam National University (VNU-LS) on 21st & 30th October, 2021. The workshops were aimed to provide students with essential CVs writing and interview skills that would help candidates impress employers and get hired. Our experienced recruiters virtually met nearly 150 students from VNU and some other colleges/ universities nationally during the two-day event.
Workshop day 1 named “Training Session” witnessed the participation of two recruitment professionals from ManpowerGroup Vietnam, i.e. Ms. Ha Nguyen, Training & Recruitment Manager, and Ms. Thao Dang, Branch Manager, Staffing & Outsourcing Services, North Vietnam. In the two-hour workshop, Ms. Ha Nguyen and Ms. Thao Dang shared with students the importance of CVs and how to create a professional CV and a cover letter that includes key information. Moreover, the two experts demonstrated interview skills that applicants should acquire including what to prepare, notes and tips, as well as the do’s and don’ts during an interview. The workshop was found helpful by many students, especially the interactive activities which were “Find the ideal CV” mini-game and mock interview with ManpowerGroup’s consultants. Not only did they increase the student engagement but also offered the attendees chances to put the theory into practice.
In the workshop day 2 called “Practice Session”, the students were involved in three main activities designed to review and practice skills learnt in the workshop 1. Ms. Van Anh Nguyen, Team Leader, Permanent Recruitment & Consulting Services and Ms. Thao Le, Recruitment Consultant, Financial Services and Technology, ManpowerGroup Vietnam joined to review CVs and conducted 1:1 job interview with random participants at the online workshop. Besides giving feedback and pointing out the areas of improvement for each student, the experts also provided some tips to handle tricky questions in real-life scenarios.
