On 17th November 2020, ManpowerGroup Vietnam joined hands with American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in HCMC to organize a hybrid virtual event titled “Unleashing New Waves of Women Leaders”. At the event, experienced speakers identified the obstacles in closing the gender gaps and shared better solutions that help promoting female leadership.
Ms.Carine Rolland, People & Culture Director, Asia Pacific & Middle East, ManpowerGroup said: “42% of leaders believe flexible working is the key to getting more women in leadership and 33% of leaders say that better policies would reduce gender bias.”
Ms.Rosa Uyen Ho, Director, Global Public Affairs, Intel Products Vietnam & Malaysia shared that organizations and companies should know why they need to promote female leaders, what challenges await and how to help women realize their fullest potential. Ms.Thái Vân Linh, Investor, Mentor and Mother, highlighted that it’s now time for leaders to see the obstacles and take proper actions to overcome the gender barriers, which will help improve the organizational performance.
All the speakers agreed that women should believe in themselves, understand their strengths and weaknesses, set goals to achieve and be persistent.
