I. OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION:

The core responsibility of a Brand Tech Manager is overseeing the technical aspects and quality standards related to a specific brand. The primary focus is on developing and implementing quality requirements for the brand.

II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure the flawless execution of orders, right up to the shipment of customers' products, while maintaining on-time delivery.
  2. Review styles and identify areas for improvement during the development stage. Review pilot/size sets and participate in pre-production meetings with factory teams.
  3. Identify and prevent garment defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
  4. Maintain oversight of materials inventory, production processes, quality standards, and team performance. Handle approvals for raw materials.
  5. Manage all aspects related to fitting, technical issues, and product evaluations. Monitor and confirm sample requirements before presenting them to the brand.
  6. Communicate pre-production comments with production and quality teams to incorporate them into bulk production.
  7. Coordinate with various departments (Pattern, Accessories, Fabric, Embellishment, Sewing, Washing, etc.) to address technical issues, enhance productivity, and facilitate clear information flow among departments. Regularly inspect laundry, embroidery, fusing areas, printing facilities, and any subcontracted work to ensure quality standards are met. Conduct routine crosschecks and report any deviations.
  8. Organize technical training and seminars for all factory departments based on the brand's specifications. Monitor regular evaluations of factory QA/checkers and provide ongoing training.
  9. Develop innovative methodologies and establish quality control procedures as specified by customers. Focus on innovative ideas to enhance product quality and efficiency. Pay close attention to high-performance fabric categories and intricate styles and washes.
  10. Monitor and enforce quality standards and required parameters, while maintaining comprehensive data records. Collaborate closely with the Nominated QA team for daily inspection outcomes and upcoming shipment schedules. Follow up on any failed lots and oversee the re-inspection process.
  11. Familiarize yourself with the brand's manuals and protocols. Ensure that the brand's QA manual and detailed reports/records are adhered to by each department. Conduct a monthly Technical Audit of all departments and share the results.
  12. Establish effective communication with the brand's technical/QA team and represent the customer in terms of technical specifications and quality. Collaborate with both the brand and the factory.

III. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a degree or diploma in Quality Management and have a minimum of 2 years of experience at the managerial level in Quality Assurance.
  • Proficiency in English (all four skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
  • Possess leadership, negotiation, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring abilities, patience, and a solid general knowledge base.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
