Job Purpose
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the accounting department’s operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and effective internal controls to maximize business profitability.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting.

Review journal entries, tax declarations, contracts, and payment requests.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with VAS and IFRS.

Manage budget preparation, forecasting, and cost control.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities for audits and tax finalization.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to the General Director.

Oversee inventory, fixed assets, and reconciliation processes.

Develop and improve accounting systems and internal controls.

Archive and maintain accounting documents.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a Chief Accountant certificate.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting software (preferably INFOR HMS, FAST Accounting Online).

Experience with affiliate transactions and USALI standards is a plus.

Good English communication skills, Japanese is preferable
