Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Vietnam

Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial management of our fast-growing renewable energy company in Vietnam. The CFO will play a critical role in developing financial strategies, securing project financing, managing investor relations, and ensuring financial sustainability while supporting our mission to accelerate the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.

  • Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, forecasting, capital structuring, and risk management.

  • Drive financial modeling for long-term business scenarios and renewable energy projects.

Project Finance & Investment

  • Structure and secure project financing (debt and equity) for solar/wind/other renewable projects.

  • Work with banks, DFIs, private equity, and international investors to fund capital-intensive projects.

  • Evaluate M&A opportunities and joint ventures across the region.

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards (VAS), IFRS, tax regulations, and company policies.

  • Manage audits, statutory filings, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Risk & Compliance

  • Identify financial and operational risks; implement mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure robust internal controls, financial governance, and operational compliance.

  • Oversee insurance coverage, hedging strategies, and tax planning.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop the finance, accounting, and procurement teams.

  • Drive digital transformation of financial processes and ERP systems.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and sustainability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).

  • Recognized professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in finance, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or power generation.

  • Strong understanding of Vietnamese regulatory environment and international financial reporting (IFRS).

  • Proven experience in project finance, investor relations, and capital raising.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
