The successful candidate will handle all the EOL material. With the focus in EOL material management, this role will closely collaborate with internal stakeholders (regional R&D counter partners) & external (supplier) to decide which material will continually go to the market, and which ones will undergo with other suitable handling treatments regarding the effectiveness & commercial perspective.
I. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- EOL Material Management:
- Manage and oversee the lifecycle of EOL materials, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
- Handle EOL management tasks, including PCN (Product Change Notice) and PDN (Product Discontinuation Notification)
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize the financial outcomes of EOL management, based on BOM
- Replacement and Alternatives:
- Identify and recommend alternative components or replacements for EOL materials, ensuring compatibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage spot-buy replacements and ensure alignment with commercial revenue goals.
- Work closely with the Commercial Engineering (CE) team to identify and plan for long-term replacements, ensuring that replacement strategies align with business objectives and revenue targets.
- EOL Arrangement & Treatment:
- Develop and implement strategies for EOL material arrangement and treatment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute EOL material transfer projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Other ad hoc duties: As required such as monthly reports or updates related to BOM changes and EOL materials
II. REQUIREMENTS:
- University/college graduate (Electronics/Electrical/Automotive Engineering/Industry Management will be an advantage)
- From 3 years ++ of experience in the same role, understanding the EOL procedure
- A must: Technical knowledge in electronics/automotive products, including PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) or materials such as plastics.
- Fluent English 4 skills communication
- Proficiency of Excel, SAP or ERP
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
