Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis with a focus on ensuring data integrity and cleanliness. This role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to support our climate initiatives and help drive strategic decisions. Expertise in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Cleaning:

    • Gather data from various sources including sensors, IoT devices, and public datasets.
    • Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Identify and rectify data quality issues, ensuring the integrity of the datasets.
  • Data Analysis:

    • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Use Microsoft Excel to interpret data, perform advanced calculations, and generate actionable insights.
    • Develop and maintain Excel-based dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, researchers, and product managers.
    • Translate complex data findings into understandable and actionable business recommendations.
    • Present data insights and trends to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Data Management:

    • Implement and maintain data management best practices.
    • Ensure data privacy and security standards are upheld.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the climate tech or environmental sector.
  • Proficiency in data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.
