Job Duties:

• Platform Development: Design, build, and optimize data and machine learning platforms to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
• Data Modeling: Develop and manage complex data structures aligned with business objectives, ensuring scalability and high performance across the technology infrastructure.
• Data Quality Management: Implement and oversee data quality standards for metadata, master/reference data, and data dictionaries to maintain high accuracy and consistency.
• Data Governance: Lead the end-to-end data lifecycle processes, reinforcing data governance practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across the organization.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Regularly monitor systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize performance for reliable data operations.
• Security and Access Control: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce secure data access and protection policies, ensuring compliance with data security requirements.
• Project Leadership: Initiate and lead strategic, company-wide data initiatives, as well as support specific functional projects, to expand the data services catalog and improve data quality.
• Leadership and Team Development: Mentor and develop the data engineering team, fostering skill growth and supporting career advancement for Senior Data Engineers.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments to align data solutions with business needs, and clearly communicate data project updates, impact, and value to leadership and staff.
• Promote Data-Driven Culture: Champion a data-driven decision-making culture, serving as a trusted data advisor to executives and department heads.

Job Requirements:

• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of data ecosystems, including data applications, big data solutions, and data tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security frameworks, from strategy to implementation.
  • Hands-on experience in data management disciplines such as master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale BI/OLAP/DWH/DB systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with ETL processes, big data technologies, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and software development practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.

• Specialized Experience:

  • 2+ years in areas like natural language processing, information retrieval, deep learning, or data mining.

• Management and Leadership:

  • Proven experience in managing projects and teams with strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with resource planning and architecture design for high-traffic and large-volume data environments.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams effectively.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on creating data-driven solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities, capable of handling multifaceted projects.

• Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex data concepts clearly.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
