Overview:
- The Design Manager leads a team of Design Engineers responsible for calculating products in the energy sector. They coordinate equipment sizing for the Proposal department and oversee detailed design during project execution. The Design Manager ensures compliance with codes, norms, technical specifications, and internal standards, following the Quality Management System (QMS) of the Energy Sector.
Objectives:
- The Design Manager is accountable for sizing and detailed design in the energy sector, aiming for customer satisfaction, adherence to codes and norms, quality documentation, on-time delivery, optimized design, and control of interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and optimizing the Design Process
- Organizing the Design Engineers team
- Allocating Design Engineers to the Proposal department, Business Lines, and project teams
- Harmonizing the detailed design process and tools
- Ensuring conformity to codes, norms and customer specifications
- Delivering technical documentation on schedule and within budget
- Assessing technical risks and prioritizing tasks
- Deploying the group strategy to the team
- Promoting quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Developing technical and soft skills of team members
- Setting and evaluating personnel objectives
Requirements:
- Technical background of mechanical engineering
- At lease 10-15 years' experience working as Design/Engineering Manager
- Proficiency in people and process management
- Good at leadership, dynamic management, team spirit, coaching, assertiveness, effective communication, decision-making, creativity, results orientation, organization, problem-solving, and a global perspective.
- Technical skills encompass understanding international codes (ASME, ISO and EN), thermal and mechanical design, reading mechanical drawings, applying internal technical choices, familiarity with product and organization interfaces,
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Fluency in English (reading, speaking, listening) is essential.
