JOB PURPOSE
  • To ensure the EHS activities in compliance with the requirements of Vietnam & international standards for Solar Power Plant.
  • Raising the awareness of EHS for related internal and external stakeholders
  • Creating an environmental, health and safety at working place
  • Assisting Plant Manager in controlling and managing all operation activities in Solar Power plant

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Being responsible for performing and taking initiatives for all activities in supporting of environment, health and safety & security, to protect employees, company, the environment by providing a safe and healthy workplace;
  • Managing Contractor during working at the Plants (Safety induction, reviews contractor’s safety plans, toolbox talks, safety patrol, supervise, …). 
  • Ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency in compliance with environmental health & safety management to be in line with all requirements and regulations (Vietnam and International standards). 
  • Managing facility/safety processes.

SAFETY MANAGEMENT (30% | DAILY/AD-HOC)
  • Implementing the periodic/ Irrigular report and activities profile with the stage authorities. 
  • Establish and development EHS Procedures for the plant 
  • Lead for EHS Weekly/ Monthly Meeting with contractor
  • Environmental monitoring and measurement (Illumination, noise, heat, chemical hazardous and total dust) including evaluation and analysis by reference the law and/or international standard.
  • Inspect daily O&M work at the plant and ensures daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections and audits are completed as necessary to comply with state and local regulations.  
  • Investigate, report and given solution for all accident and near miss case to prevent other potential case.
  • Identify potentially Safety, Health and Environment cases for analysis.
  • Emergency response management
  • Supervising and mornitor firefighting equipment, manage and update the firefighting documents.

EHS ACTIVITIES AT SITE (30% | DAILY/MONTHLY/YEARLY/AD-HOC)
  • Be responsible for all aspects of plant environmental health & safety management to ensure that the compliance is in line with all requirements and regulations (Vietnam and International standards) 
  • Determine the required EH&S standard of performance in term of safety health and environmental to develop and administer site safety and environmental plan and initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts in those areas, utilizing effective communication skills (in both verbal and written). 
  • Continually improve, evaluate, implement and maintain health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to protect employees and comply with company, state, federal and local regulations.
  • Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards
  • Update all related work procedure and related regulation to comply with the EHS regulation
  • Performing all duties that will ensure utilities, document, office equipment, and contacting with governmental agencies for environmental health and safety issues.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditor about EH&S and security routine 
  • Arranging the training for both of staff and related contractor in terms of the Environmental, Health & Safety and coordinating with external instructor and might be the instructor by self.
  • Other tasks assigned by Line manager

ASSISTANCE ACTIVITIES (40% | DAILY/MONTHLY/YEARLY/AD-HOC)
  • Manage assets, lands, property belonging to Company
  • Prepare & generate report related to plant business/ PAF/ Performance ratio in daily/monthly basis.
  • Support PM in daily works
  • Other tasks assigned by Line Manager
  • Emergency response management

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree, major in Electrical is required. 
  • Strong technical knowledge in Electricity Operations, Inverter, PV modules.
  • Deep knowledge of Environment – Health – Safety (EHS) Management  
  • Knowledge of planning operation of solar power plant
  • At least 1 - 3 years of working experience with the same role.
  • Experience in Power/Gas/Petro/Industrial plant, especially in Solar Power Plant would be advantageous.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
  • Strong technical knowledge in Electricity Operations
  • Solid knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Safety Management system, Waste & Risk management  
  • Strong foundation in legalisation, procedures and policy, especially in EHS Law
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 & 140001 and ISO 45001 and other international standards.

SKILL/ABILITY REQUIRED
  • Proficiency in MOS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant systems
  • Excellent at communication and interpersonal skill
