Position Overview:
  • The Engineering Manager leads technical and design aspects of projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. This role involves managing engineering teams, developing execution plans, coordinating resources, and collaborating with stakeholders to address challenges and risks. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and expertise in engineering systems are essential for success in this role.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed project design and execution plans, including identifying subcontractors, consultants, and in-house tasks.
  • Organize technical surveys, detailed designs, and construction drawings, including material breakdown and resource planning.
  • Prepare technical documents and specifications for consultancy services and key materials procurement.
  • Evaluate technical aspects of design consultancy, equipment, and key material procurement packages.
  • Expedite and monitor procurement packages and ensure compliance with timelines.
  • Plan, manage, and supervise design schedules to meet project requirements.
  • Implement detailed designs and construction drawings that ensure safety and quality.
  • Establish project organizational structures and allocate resources effectively.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage changes in scope, and address technical and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate, communicate, and manage workflows among project members and stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, organize project meetings, and document meeting outcomes.
  • Oversee as-built documentation and post-project material/equipment reporting.
Experienced Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automation.)
  • Additional certifications or secondary degrees in Project Management or Business Administration are advantageous.
  • 7–10 years in engineering roles within Oil & Gas, Construction, or Mechanical Installation industries.
  • 2–3 years as a Design Manager or Design Lead in companies/projects of similar scale.
  • Experience managing design teams of 20–30 members and collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in technology design, system fabrication, construction, electrical/automation systems, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of bidding processes and technical standards related to EPC projects.
  • Expertise in planning, reporting, presenting design solutions, and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in project management, office, and design-related software (e.g., for piping, structural design).
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
  • Possession of Level 1 or Level 2 Design Practice Certifications is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to project requirements.
