FIELD FINANCE OFFICER

Responsibilities:

Grant and contract management

  • Active support to ensure effective operational and financial administration of assigned projects which implemented at CAL landscape.
  • Be responsible for all payments from assigned project within landscape including daily payment, 3rd party contract, consultancy contract and agreement with partner to ensure that all are complied with NO and Donor Policy and Procedure
  • Be the first reviewer of all 3rd party contracts; consultancy contracts and agreements from assigned projects within landscape to ensure that they are all in ordered and complied with NO and Donor policy and procedure.
  • Ensure a high quality projects-based financial management report and analysis are timely submitted to Project Managers
  • Actively provide support to ensure assigned project external audit are fully compliance with donors’

  • Monitors compliance with business processes and standards and follows up on significant noncompliance with the relevant staff.
  • Identify, report and propose for solution to line manage for all the potential risk related to project
  • finance management from assigned landscape

Planning / accounting and reporting

  • Actively manage and contribute to month end closing process timely as deadline
  • Actively support to manage the operation of Lam Dong field office to ensure that all operation cost should be timely reviewed and accurately recorded

Others

  • Actively create the collaboration with relevant conservations and operation team / staffs through effective, proactive and regular communication for further support
  • Provide technical support to conservation / operation staff on finance Policy and procedures when required
  • Provide back up to line manager when s/he is away.
  • Performs other duties from time to time at the request of the CA – Field Finance Coordinator and, Senior Project Finance Manager

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • A university degree, in a commercial or business administration related subject. An MBA and/or a recognized accounting qualification would be an asset.
  • Minimum 04 years’ experience in the development project management and administration

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Good at communication skills, coupled with diplomacy, numeracy, and business acumen are essential.
  • Good at compliance and risk management skills proven interpersonal skills, complimented by good at written and spoken English are a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain clear lines of communication within a wide network of contacts is necessary.
  • Strong service orientation.
  • Prepared to be “hands-on” in the team.
  • Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
  • An interest in conservation.
  • Well-organized approach to work are necessary, legal skills in contract development would be an advantage.
