Job Overview: The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations within the tourism company, ensuring accuracy in accounting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial planning and analysis. This role will involve managing budgets, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning to support the company’s growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

    • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
  2. Accounting and Reporting:

    • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  3. Cash Flow Management:

    • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
    • Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce financial risks.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax laws.
    • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  5. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor finance department staff, providing guidance and support.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
  6. Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans.
    • Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
    • Evaluate potential investments and business opportunities.
  7. Systems and Processes:

    • Implement and maintain financial systems and software to improve efficiency.
    • Streamline financial processes to enhance accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in the tourism or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
