Job Responsibilities

  1. Financial Inclusion Strategies: Support the Team Leader of Project Phase in developing and implementing financial inclusion strategies and workplans to enhance access to financial services for underserved populations.

  2. Collaboration with Financial Service Providers: Work with banks, microfinance institutions (MFIs), e-MFIs, and community leaders to create cost-effective programs for better access to savings, credit, and insurance services.

  3. Insurance Product Design: Collaborate with insurance companies to design suitable insurance products, including crop, weather, disaster risk reduction, life, and health insurance.

  4. Resource Leveraging: Work with the team to leverage financial resources and partnerships to scale up low-emissions and resilient business models for vulnerable communities.

  5. Training and Capacity Building: Develop training materials and provide capacity building on financial inclusion, insurance, disaster risk reduction, and digital banking skills for target groups.

  6. Cross-Sectoral Collaboration: Ensure integrated implementation across sectors, including policy advocacy, gender equity, social inclusion, environmental mitigation, and climate resilience communications.

  7. Data Collection and Reporting: Gather field data, maintain records, and contribute to technical progress reports and success stories.

  8. Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with development partners, private sector entities, donors, local organizations, and government agencies.

  9. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required by the line manager.

Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in banking, finance/microfinance, business administration, agribusiness, sustainable development studies, or related field. 
  • Minimum five years of professional experience implementing inclusive finance development projects or companies.
  • Experience in working in microfinance schemes, implementing financial education/ literacy programs, provisioning of financial services in underserved areas.
  • An understanding and experience in the use of technology to drive the development of alternative delivery channels for financial institutions.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and strengthening the capacity on financial inclusion field.
  • Experience with resource mobilization, public-private partnership engagement.
  • Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion related to gender and vulnerable populations and communities.
  • Good social, analytical and planning skills.
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and Vietnamese required
