Position: Inspection Advisor

Reporting To: Deputy Section Manager – Inspection

Division: Asset Integrity

Requirements

Educational Level: University Graduated

Specialty/Qualification: Bachelor of chemistry/ mechanic/metallurgy or equivalent

Work Experience:          

Experience required minimum 15 years in relevant section of Refinery with prior experience in engineering/mechanical/chemical experience and engaged in actual field operation for 5 year which includes not only routine operation but also trouble-shooting, trial operation, preparation for daily and turnaround maintenance.

Skills:   

  • Require specialized skills in inspection and practices including API standards inspection and international inspection codes and standards.
  • Excellent Knowledge of inspection equipment, instrumentation procedures and terminology.
  • . Considerable knowledge of Vietnamese regulatory standards.
  • Ability to develop and maintain the effectiveness of reporting procedures and control workflow.
  • Ability to make accurate observations and written reports of test results.
  • Ability to train, orient and evaluate the job performance of various laboratory personnel.
  • Report writing and presentation skills
  • English skills: speak, writing, presentation in an excellent way.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Purpose

Inspection Advisor assists the Deputy Inspection Manager in his responsibility for managing a part of Inspection activities, gives advices to support all staff during build up procedures as well as oriented instruction in detail during the implementation of work.

Responsibility

  • For this position, minimum works are as follows,
  • Responsible to provide support services to Deputy Inspection Manager and to advice the less experienced engineers in the Inspection Group.
  • Advice the work to all inspection staff, especially advice the work of inspection experience engaged in performing routine and specialized technical procedures, including planning inspection work, evaluating work perform and handling procedural and inspection problems.
  • Develop standards, workflows and procedures with cooperation with other section/division and other processes according to management manual, included how to respond to incidence/failure regarding inspection activities.
  • Plan, develop and present workshops.
  • Design appropriate work schedules for inspection staff and plan daily work assignments in order to maintain an adequate personnel complement for inspection activity.
  • Monitor quality control, quality assurance, safety and inspection control practices to assure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Guide, direct and motivate the less experienced engineers and operators including setting education and training and assessing their performance in association with their superior and the Human Resources Section.
  • Passionate dedication to maintaining safe operations enforcing strict conformance with all government regulations and applicable company procedures and policies.
  • Report to the Deputy Inspection Manager on an administrative level.
