Logistic and Export Officer (Factory Background)

Report to: Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary:
We are a leading company in the plastic manufacturing industry, known for producing high-quality plastic products for both domestic and international markets. As part of our mission to deliver exceptional service and streamline operations, we are seeking a Logistics and Export Officer to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient logistics processes, compliance with export regulations, and timely delivery to customers worldwide.

The Logistics and Export Officer will oversee and manage the logistics, shipping, and export activities of the company. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing logistics operations to meet business objectives. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and expertise in export documentation and international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination:

  • Plan and manage domestic and international transportation to ensure timely delivery of goods. Coordinate with production teams to ensure that production targets are met within the specified timelines.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and shipping agents to book shipments and manage delivery schedules.
  • Monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the planning and inventory team to oversee the loading and unloading of goods for export.
Export Operations:
  • Prepare and verify export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and certifications for export.
  • Monitor and manage export tariffs, taxes, and duties to optimize costs.

Customer and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with international clients regarding order status, shipment schedules, and any changes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for logistics and export-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting and Compliance:
  • Provide periodic reports on logistics performance, shipment status, and export activities to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, security, and environmental standards in all logistics and export operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years-experienced in Logistics and Export Operations in Manufacturing Environment
  • Plastic manufacturing industry and/or used to work with Japanese Management will be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and internal teams.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to resolving logistics challenges.
  • Good Command in English both written and spoken
  • Able to start immediately will be a plus
