Position Overview:
  • The Operation Manager oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of offshore CPP and wellhead platforms, ensuring safety compliance, production optimization, and cost-effective resource management. The role includes managing onshore support, subcontractors, budgets, and leading a diverse team to achieve business objectives while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Having strong experience in preparing bidding proposals for CPP Operation Packages, including Execution Plans, Method Statement, Procedures, etc. 
  • Operate and Maintain the Offshore CPP and unmanned wellhead platform under the management and supervision of the Client/Owner and as per the Safety Case. 
  • Manage and control production operations and maintenance as the asset owner by setting and driving execution of business strategies and plans to ensure optimization and commercialization of assets and facilities to meet customers' hydrocarbon supply and maximize stakeholders' returns. 
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage and coordinate all aspects of oil & gas production operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. 
  • Manage onshore support services from the owner's office in HCMC and the VT storage and materials base. 
  • Manage onshore business support from home office this will include HR (including Training and Competence), Commercial, Procurement, logistics, etc. 
  • Manage Subcontract and Supply Chain to support operation (VT warehouse, workshop, VT base office, helicopter, supply vessels). 
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations. 
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards, implementing safety protocols and conducting regular inspections. 
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. 
  • Resource Management: Optimize the use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to achieve production targets and minimize costs. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity. 
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment and transparency. 
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
Job Requirements:
  • Education Level
    • Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
  • Major
    • Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience and Knowledge
    • At least 10 years of experience in operations management within the oil & gas industry.
    • Strong expertise in optimizing production, ensuring safety compliance, and driving operational efficiency.
    • Proven leadership skills to manage and lead diverse teams with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • In-depth technical knowledge of oil & gas production processes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of implementing effective solutions.
    • Adaptability and resilience to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • English Skills
    • Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • PC Skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera (preferred).
    • Familiarity with CMMS, EMS, and SMS for organizing and managing operations.
  • Other Requirements
    • Relevant certifications in safety management or operations management are a plus.
