About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Procurement/Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function and drive strategic sourcing initiatives across the group. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in procurement/sourcing/purchasing in large corporate in Vietnam, coupled with exceptional leadership and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Procurement Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies for both domestic and international sourcing to ensure cost efficiency and quality.
    • Stay updated on market trends and industry standards to optimize sourcing opportunities.
  2. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead a team of over 10 members, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.
    • Set clear objectives and monitor team performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  3. Vendor and Supplier Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  4. Project and Budget Management:
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure procurement aligns with project schedules and budgets.
    • Oversee budget estimation and cost control for procurement activities.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks in procurement processes.
    • Develop strategies to manage changes, disputes, and challenges in sourcing activities.
  6. Process Optimization:
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Drive innovation and efficiency in procurement practices to maximize value for the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 12-15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Logical and positive thinking.
  • Strong skills in presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship building.
  • Proficiency in forecasting and risk management, as well as change management.
  • Observational, analytical, and judgment skills with the ability to resolve problems and disputes effectively.
  • Expertise in planning, organizing, managing, monitoring, and developing team members.
  • Good English communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
