Job Summary:
We are a leading company in the plastic manufacturing industry, specializing in the production of high-quality plastic products. As part of our commitment to innovation and excellence, we are looking for a motivated and skilled Production Engineer to join our team at our Vietnam factory. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and ensuring production efficiency.

The Production Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting production processes, ensuring that they meet product specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. The role involves working closely with production teams, maintenance, and other departments to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Process Design & Optimization:
  • Analyze and evaluate existing production processes and equipment to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement new production processes, equipment, and systems to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Optimize production workflows to reduce waste, downtime, and bottlenecks while ensuring consistent product quality
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
  • Diagnose and resolve production-related issues, such as equipment malfunctions, quality deviations, and process inefficiencies.
  • Work with the production manager to identify the root cause of production problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide technical support to production staffs during production runs to ensure smooth operations.
Process Monitoring & Control:
  • Monitor key production parameters, including cycle times, material usage, and equipment performance, to ensure that processes are running efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes and ensure they are followed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout the production process.

Equipment Maintenance & Reliability:
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
  • Support the development of equipment maintenance programs and procedures to improve overall production reliability.

Training & Development:
  • Train and mentor production operators and technicians on new production processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Provide technical training to improve the skills of production staff and ensure they can effectively operate production machinery.
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve process knowledge and ensure safe working practices.

  • Lead or assist in the implementation of new production projects, including the installation of new equipment, machinery, or production lines.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Ensure that projects meet design specifications, production goals, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Production Engineering in Manufacturing Environment
  • Plastic manufacturing industry and/or used to work with Japanese Management will be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and quality control systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize production systems.
  • Knowledge of production equipment, automation, and control systems.
  • Good command of English in written and spoken
