Our Client, a company providing comprehensive services for the Upstream sector, including offshore support vessels, site survey vessels, and subsea operations, is looking for QHSE Manager.
Job Purpose:
- Provide comprehensive support in QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) matters and ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the QHSE management system.
- Collaborate with senior management to assess Health, Safety, and Environmental risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them to the lowest practicable level.
- Adhere to established objectives, policies, programs, and processes while driving continuous improvement to ensure alignment with the global HSE strategy.
- Apply in-depth QHSE expertise to assist the Party Manager/Party Chief in managing QHSE aspects of surveys and projects, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Job Description:
- Leadership & HSE Culture: Promote and embody the company’s HSE culture to clients, subcontractors, and employees, setting a positive example for safety and environmental responsibility.
- HSE Organization and Documentation:
- Implement and maintain the company’s HSE Management System (HSEMS), ensuring all project documentation, standards, and procedures are up to date.
- Participate in project start-up and close-out meetings, ensuring proper HSE management throughout.
- Ensure compliance with both company standards and local legislation, reflecting any legal changes in the HSEMS.
- Identify and manage HSE training requirements, ensuring the effectiveness of training programs for staff.
- Finance: Propose Department budget, approve expenditures related to QHSE within predefined budget limits, request additional funding for unplanned QHSE activities (e.g., emergency corrective actions or compliance fines)
- Human resources: Propose a Training Plan for the HSE Department OR HSE-related training for the company, approve or mandate QHSE-related training and certifications for employees, lead cross-departmental teams or appoint representatives for QHSE committees or initiatives, recommend hiring, terminating, or reallocating personnel to address QHSE needs.
- Assets: Procure or replace QHSE-related assets (e.g., safety equipment, environmental monitoring tools), allocate organizational assets for safety drills, emergency preparedness, or compliance audits, mandate the maintenance, repair, or decommissioning of non-compliant assets
