Company brief:
  • Our Client, an American designer, manufacturer, and worldwide retailer of eyewear products, is looking for Quality Control Inspector working independently in Vietnam.

Responsibilities:
  • Review in-line production processes to ensure compliance with technical specifications and bills of materials before bulk product assembly and vendor-driven quality checks.
  • Trace, measure, and visually inspect all replenishment purchase orders and new product development launches, conducting AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) inspections before approving them for shipment.
  • Manage the scheduling, inspection, and corrective action plans workflow with suppliers within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Oversee supplier-conducted in-house inspections on purchase orders, ensuring readiness for assessment by the Product Development team and coordinating shipment approvals.
  • Support the continuous improvement of supplier production processes, sharing best practices to reduce overhead and achieve lead-time improvements.
  • Support the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) in evaluating vendors’ internal DUPRO (During Production) processes and quality systems regularly.
  • Monitor and report on each supplier's performance through analysis of production-line statistics, supplier in-house inspections, and additional compliance audits, and provide input for regular quality analysis.
  • Ensure vendor adherence to Vendor Compliance Manual and escalate any discrepancies to the Supplier Quality Engineer.

Qualification:
  • At least 3 years of experience in production processes and technologies, manufacturing, testing in the manufacturing sector or for a third-party agency, and/or sourcing for a global retailer.
  • Fluent in English or Chinese in writing and speaking with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have experience in Oracle or other quality management systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite software, and comfortable learning and mastering web applications and proprietary software
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and highly analytical.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Skilled in conducting both DUPRO (During Production) and final quality control audits, with a solid understanding of AQL methodology.
  • Ready to travel daily within the HCM region and other region.

Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Knowledge of the optical industry and lens offerings is highly preferred.
  • Experienced in product development and sourcing.
